Intro to On Demand Data

Some projects need close to real-time data, or at least have the latest price in every block, such as perps or spot trading platforms for instance.

Writing data on-chain in every block would be a costly endeavour. Therefore, another solution is needed to meet these specific needs.

In order to address these requirements, Umbrella is developing an On Demand Data feature. In this solution, any piece of data available in the Umbrella library can be requested, at any time. The data will be delivered on request when a transaction is triggered.

Here is a high-level overview of the technical architecture to be released soon:
